Nothing Else Looks Quite Like It
The Staghorn Fern is one of those plants that stops people in their tracks. Its forked, antler-shaped fronds grow outward in a way that looks almost sculptural — completely unlike any other fern you'll find. In the wild it grows as an epiphyte, clinging to trees and absorbing moisture from the air, which gives it a character all of its own. Equally at home mounted on a board or grown in a pot.
Care Tips
Bright indirect light is ideal. Water by soaking the root ball or base fronds thoroughly, then allow to dry out before watering again — avoid letting it sit in water. Mist the fronds occasionally. Don't remove the brown shield fronds at the base; they're part of how the plant feeds itself. Feed monthly in spring and summer.
